Thanks to the features of the SI session initiation approach, terminals of calling and called users connected to diverse networks interact with SI server using different protocols supported by networks they are connected to. Because of this, the network integration under the SI approach (Fig. 30) does not need user address transformation in gateways between diverse networks.
